Installing new electric shades and manual blinds

Summer 2021:

The new electric shades are from IKEA.
The model is called "Fyrtur" and they are 100 cm wide.
They cost around 140 Euro a piece, which seems a little expencive.
But - it´s so convenient, just tap the remote, and all 4 rolls down to a preset level.
Tap it again, and they all 4 roll up again - sweet!

The new manual blinds are from Bauhaus.
The model is called "Debel Twist Alu" and they are 60 cm wide, which means that they do not cover the whole wall, but only the windows. Gives a lighter expression, I think.
They are a real bargain - only 7 Euro a piece.

New IKEA electric shades installed.

We were tired of the old curtains that were probably home sewn buy the former owners. So we decided to go for electric shades in the saloon. Not that big a problem to install, although I had to remove the teak-trimming over the windows, and cut it to fit in between the shades.

There will be some sunlight coming in around the shades when it´s a bright and shiny day.

At night though - no one can see through the blinds, even though there is light turned on in the saloon.

To the left, on the shade frame, you find a little plastic cover. Behind it, there is a rechargeable battery, that powers the shade. It only need to be recharged once a year, depending of course of how much you operate the shades. For us, once a year seems to be fine.

All 4 shades are syncronized.

One for all - all for one... whatever - one magnetic/detachable remote controlls all 4 shades, and they are synchronized. Each one can also be manually controlled by operation 2 buttons on the shade itself.

In the washroom we installed aluminium manually operated blinds.

Bought @ Bauhaus for around 7 Euro a piece.

In the head/showerroom we also installed manually operated aluminium blinds.
